Darüber hinaus widmen sich Beiträge den Nachkriegstexten von Hermann Löns, Wolfgang Borchert und Hans-Werner Richter sowie der Darstellung des Koreakrieges in der koreanischen Literatur. Wars and their effects play an essential role in comics and graphic novels since the beginning of the 20th century. The contributions in this book deal with different historical events. Selected examples show how the image of war is conveyed. The authors also focus on works of Jacques Tardi and Joe Sacco, the short period of American anti-war comics of the early 1950s as well as recent approaches like Tagebuch 14/18 (Diary 14/18 by Hogh and Mailliet) or the volume Kriegszeiten (Times of war by Schraven). Furthermore, the contributions focus on the postwar lyrics of Hermann Löns, Wolfgang Borchert and Hans-Werner Richter as well as the presentation of the Korean war in Korean literature.
